Even in the deepest trenches of our daily grind, we were determined to invest in ourselves—as people and as professionals. That determination led us to make some pivotal changes, starting with streamlining our management practices. We sharpened our focus on efficiency and productivity because we knew that every minute saved in the shop was a minute gained toward innovation.
In our pursuit of progress, we embraced the philosophy that to make money, one must be willing to spend it—but wisely. While the dream of expanding our physical footprint remains a goal for the future, we strategized to enhance our capabilities within our existing space. We invested in cutting-edge equipment and state-of-the-art systems (like our quoting portal) and dove headfirst into learning new technologies.
We didn't stop there. Recognizing the importance of strong leadership, we engaged in extensive training, not just for our management team but also for members of our Accurate CNC shop family. We understood that leadership doesn't just come from the top; it’s a quality that can and should be nurtured at all levels.
Keeping Our Eyes on the Prize
As we peer into the 2024 horizon, our ambitions are as high as the mountains surrounding our Idaho machine shop. Accurate Transport, our dedicated delivery arm, is already revolutionizing how we manage shipping logistics. With the necessary CDL certification and DOT numbers in place, we’re positioned to take our fleet delivery services to the next level, ensuring that the final link in our supply chain is as precise and reliable as the precision machining we're known for.
We’re also forging ahead with our vision of a collaborative future, one where our growth is tied not just to the size of our shop but also to the strength of our partnerships. By expanding our vendor network, we're breaking physical barriers and setting the stage for a shop capable of full-scale fabrication. Innovation in Retail
In August 2022, we took a bold step into the retail market with the acquisition of Jespersen Podium. It’s been a whirlwind of learning and adapting, but we’re making strides. We're committed to honoring the legacy of Steve Jespersen while exploring ways to make these podiums more accessible to our customers.
We're particularly focused on the podium model that's become a customer favorite for its monitor mounting feature—those are flying off the shelves and into convention centers and rental companies. But we're not stopping at sales; we're thinking about the lifecycle of our product. How can we enhance durability, ease of assembly, and overall customer satisfaction? Our aim is to develop solutions like replacement parts and custom travel cases to ensure that our podiums stand the test of time and travel.
One-Stop Shop Dream
Our journey toward becoming a true one-stop shop is fueled by more than ambition—it's driven by a commitment to our customers and our community. We've added CAD services and full project management to our repertoire, and we're not done yet. With every new capability, we reaffirm our pledge to deliver comprehensive solutions. We always want to be the shop that says yes when other shops say no.
