CAD Services: 2D and 3D Files for Precision Machining

If you have the solid model but need a 2D print…

If you have the drawing but need a 3D model

If all you have is a finished part and you need complete CAD services…

We can do that!

Accurate CNC Services offers complete computer-aided design (CAD) solutions for your parts and prototypes so you can save time and stay focused on what you do best.

One-Stop CAD Services and Precision Machining

Before our precision machine shop can get to work quoting or manufacturing your parts, we need an annotated 2D CAD drawing and a detailed 3D CAD model. When you don’t have one or both of these files readily available, our team can create whatever is missing for you.

When you need a drawing…

No problem! Start by sending us your solid model for review, and we’ll open a direct chat with your team through our secure platform. There, we’ll discuss your part’s specific needs, from the material requirements to the callouts for key features. And, of course, we’ll offer our DFM and DFA recommendations to help you obtain fast and cost-effective precision machining services.

When you need solid modeling…

We’ve got you covered! We’ll build a 3D model based on your print, asking you to fill in any information gaps along the way. When we’re done, our rapid prototyping services department will build a prototype for you to test and verify before we begin your production run.

We recently designed a solid model from a 1980s pencil drawing that was missing significant details about the part. In collaboration with our customer, we quickly gathered the missing information and created a successful 3D model!

When you need both 2D and 3D CAD files…

We’re the experts you’re looking for! Simply send us one of your finished parts, and we’ll use our in-house measurement tools to analyze your part and develop the print and the model.

Our Fusion 360® software from Autodesk excels at extruding 3D dimensions from flat patterns, manipulating solid models, and generating 2D prints with critical callouts.

When we’re finished with your project…

Along with packing and delivering your completed parts, we’ll supply your all-new CAD file(s). With our precision machine shop’s Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards applied to every CAD file we create, you can be certain each design has been optimized for exceptional quality and streamlined production.

Case Study: Speedline Assembly

A valuable long-time customer asked us to create a series of CAD files from a very basic assembly drawing with few details. For example, the print depicts a threaded insert but doesn’t specify purchasing information or the thread pitch.

After extensive research and discussion with our customer, we were able to successfully create all the files necessary for precision machining:

  • 3D model for the rubber component

  • 3D model for the UHMW component

  • 2D drawing for the assembly

  • Bill of materials detailing all materials and hardware

Now, our customer has all the documentation they need for future productions!
